Annie Leibovitz

For my PowerPoint Project, I decided to so the impact of Annie Leibovitz, because I remember a pretty controversial picture she took of Miley Cyrus in 2008. I as always a fan of hers, and when this picture came out, many critics said the picture was way too sexy for the young pop star.

Here is a picture of a naked and pregnant Demi Moore that saw deemed sexist by critiques, but others thought Annie captured the beauty of pregnancy.

This picture featuring LeBron James and a supermodel was an allusion to the King Kong movie that had just been realsed.
Some say this picture is racist, others say is a compliment to LeBrons skills on the floor.

This is Annie's most famous picture of the late John Lennon and Yoko Ono right after their album. It was pretty rare to get such an icon in this type of pose and naked.
After this photo John Lennon died, making it all the more famous.

However you view Annie's photos, you can't deny her creative pose selections and also the beautiful imagery she creates with undertones. She impacted the world of photography by not being afraid to take the daring shots.

Enhancing Photos

This is a picture of my friend Kora riding her horse. It is a very nice picture, but I though I could enhance the picture and make it pop is Picture Manager.

Here is the after picture. To get these results I changed the Hue, brightness, and contrast. I also cropped the photo to zoom in on the horse more. I wanted to horses colors to pop, because the contrast of white and brown is amazing.

Indoor without Flash

Here is a picture of my parrot Ditto sitting on his perch. I took this picture without flash.

This is the same picture after I edited it through Pisca. I added more contrasted and brightness. I also cropped the picture so there was less white walls in the background.

My Name through Photography

This is a picture of a collection on pictures I took throughout my house. Together, I grouped the images to reflect my name.

A...a small boat on the side of a decorative house that sits on our window, I really liked how the paddle cuts across the boat distorting the image of the "A".

S...This is a floral arrangement my mom gave me. It has roses and swirling wood branches strung everywhere. The branches are white so it really stands out against the background.

H...This is an old window I have hanging in our living room.

L...A bird house my little sister made for me. I like the way it adds circles with straight lines.

E...This is a corner of a painting, it has flowers and swirls that add to the picture as a whole.

Y...A decorative vase with dried out grass. The way it is wide on the top and come down to a skinny vase reminds me of a "Y".

Banner Project

For this project we were required to make a banner or a logo, and the biggest even in my life is my upcoming wedding. We are making all kinds of excel sheets with guest lists and creating collages of photos, so I thought it would be cool to make a border for my planning.
Here is the picture alone. I used a picture from our engagement party and inserted it into power point. I then changed the lighting to back and white, and added some highlights. Then I added the swirls in the right corner by going to google, typing in "swirls", then copy and pasting into power point. I had to make the image transparent and make it white, for it was black. I then added a bordered and the words (added word art). Then I selected all the parts and grouped them together so I could save them as an image.

Lighting

Here is a photo of another one of my families horses. When I took this picture I felt the original didn't do it justice when I took it. In person the horses eye was popping and looked amazing. This assignment gave me the tools to capture the true beauty of his eye.

For the lighting I increased the shadows and added some highlights that really made the back ground pop and the eye glow. I didn't change the color template much, but I did increase the fill color.

Cropping

This is the picture I submitted for the Depth of Field assignment. It is one of my horse Pierce while we were camping memorial day weekend.

This is after using Picasa to crop out some of the background. I wanted the viewer to see more of the structure of his face.

Here is another picture I experimented with cropping...this is a photo taken at our engagement party.

I wanted to capture the mother daughter moment :)
